The range of post-school choices for young people with autism spectrum disorder whose disabilities prevent them from being able to access the traditional routes of employment or college is very limited.

The Bridge to Employment is a project that is based in the Stewartry. Centred on a personalised target plan, the young people follow a programme where they learn employability and life skills, develop their communication, literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills through an Enterprise component and undertake matched work experience.

The programme is time limited, but determined by the young person themselves and the way they mature and develop.

This project is part-financed by the Scottish Government and the European Union - LEADER 2014-2020 programme.
