We have a FREE Decoupage workshop at the CatStrand, New Galloway!
As part of our Bridge 2 Creative project, where we offer our young people a chance to explore and develop their creative practices, we are commissioning artists to do a series of workshops for communities across Dumfries and Galloway. These workshops are open to anyone over the age of 12 and are particularly aimed at those who have additional barriers to accessing art in the community.
Our next workshop will be with Bea Last, a contemporary artist who uses recycled and upcycled materials to create sculptures and art installations. Bea also works with us at Better Lives Partnership as our Professional Creative Practitioner, she will be spending this workshop instructing participants on Decoupage.
Decoupage is the art of layering cut out pieces of paper and magazines into patternsto decorate objects, glass or furniture, boxes or bottles. All materials will be provided! So join us at the CatStrand, New Galloway, Saturday 19th March 1pm to 3pm for a great afternoon of art and creativity.
