This week #TeamStranraer’s time with Youth Work D&G working through their VIP Me project came to an end.
We went for a trip to Portpatrick for a slap-up lunch with Youth Work D&G to celebrate the young people completing the VIP ME programme. The VIP Me project aims to build personal development, soft skills and self-esteem in young people aged 15-25 by providing them with various opportunities as part of the programme.
During our time with Youth Work D&G, our young people have taken part in different activities such as creating compliment jars for one another writing positive notes helping build up one another’s self-esteem and helping put together food parcels for local families in need of support in Stranraer.
In addition, as part of this programme, our young people were given some First Aid training. This training included learning a variety of skills including CPR bandaging and treating wounds and how to act in a crisis.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Youth Work D&G for providing these opportunities and allowing us to take part in their fantastic programme.
