Bridge to Creative

Bridge to Creative

Our Bridge to Creative Programme is funded by Creative Communities led by Inspiring Scotland to offer our young people at Better Lives Partnership a way to explore and develop their creative practices across our sites in Dumfries, Castle Douglas and Stranraer.

We offer weekly dedicated Bridge to Creative Sessions as well as the opportunity for our young people to engage in creative practice as an individual task. We work with local professional artists in each of our locations to offer our young people a person-centred approach to developing their creative practices as well as offering whole group sessions for all our young people to explore their creativity and enjoy the process of creating art.

We have partnered with Paragon Music to deliver session across all three sites which will provide opportunities for our young people to explore music.

Young people who are on our Bridge to Business Programme in Castle Douglas will also be able to benefit from integrating the creative programmes and sessions with professional artists to help develop their own work for their business.

We will have Art Exhibitions at all our sites to showcase the work of our young people to their families and the wider community.

 Community Workshops

As part of this Project Better Lives Partnership are commissioning artists to do a series of workshops for communities across Dumfries and Galloway. These workshops are open to anyone over the age of 12 and are particularly aimed at those who have additional barriers to accessing art in the community.
