Join A Project
At Better Lives Partnership we present young people with Autism and additional barriers with a structured program of accredited training in their area of interest, expertise, work related skills and to prepare them for the next step towards employment, self-employment, education, training or volunteering.
There are two routes onto the project. A formal referral can be made from school, an organisation or service. Alternatively, young people can self-refer by requesting an application pack and application form. Once accepted to the project their needs will be assessed on an individual basis and an appropriate support plan will be developed. This could be part of an ongoing provision with another service working with the young person.
What Does The Course Cover?
- Independent Tasks (A Selection of Short ASDAN Courses)
- Work Experience Placement
- Independent Living
Additionally young people can opt to take part in Bridge to Business and Bridge to Creative.
Better Lives Partnership runs from Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm for 46 weeks of the year. Contact time can be tailored to individual requirements up to 16 hours per week delivered over 5 days.
