With work rooms situated in Castle Douglas, Stranraer, and Dumfries BLP and its programmes is available to young people across the Stewartry, Wigtownshire, and Nithsdale and Annandale area. While all 3 locations vary slightly in the specifical qualifications on offer they all follow the same basic principles of BLP.
All our projects are aimed at young people aged 16 to 25 who have autism spectrum disorder or related disabilities and have a variety of barriers that prevent them from accessing the traditional post-school options. The aim of BLP is always to use a person-centred approach to develop unique opportunities for each young person that incorporates one or all of the following: employability skills, work experience and social enterprise.
Additionally, with the introduction of Bridge to Creative across all locations BLP is working hard to provide creative activities and opportunities for development for our young people, led by professional artists.
